Vigil for Jordan

The San Francisco Bicycle Coalition is working with family and friends of Jordan McKay to organize a memorial bicycle ride. It will take place Tuesday, September 30th, at 7pm.

Family, friends, neighbors, and bicycle enthusiasts are invited to gather at the east end of the Panhandle (McKinley statue near Fell and Baker streets in San Francisco). The ride will stop for a vigil at 15th and Cabrillo where Jordan died, and then ride to a bonfire on Ocean Beach. Those who wish to participate in the vigil are encouraged to bring a flower or candle.

"I would like to bring life, love, and peace to the place where he was taken so suddenly," says Elisa Litsky, Jordan's girlfriend. "I feel that Jordan would want people to come together and ride, something that he loved doing so dearly."
